Partial Glass Cube

House Extension & Renovation, Churchtown, Dublin 14

Completed 2009

This North-facing extension gains light on five sides.

A new room is added at garden level (-1m), allowing a high ceiling in the new space, while maintaining a continuous ceiling plane throughout the ground floor.

A split roof defines a dining area, gives morning light, allows a bathroom window and the maintenance of a vent to the neighbour's extension.
