Apartment 36

Apartment Renovation, Monkstown, Co. Dublin

Completed 2010

65m²

This project creates flexibility within a tight space and a small budget. Floor-to-ceiling units run along one side of the apartment, accommodating wardrobe, kitchen units, music station, storage and a curtain hide-away. The porch can become a gym with a built in TV, pull-up bar and fold-down treadmill. An unused second bedroom is reclaimed as living area, while floor-to-ceiling sliding doors convert it back to a spare bedroom when guests come to stay The main living space is flooded with natural light from both ends of the apartment. Thick curtains convert the area into a home cinema.
